Kujawy-Dobrzyn Ethnographic Park


General


Heritage Park covers an area of 6 hectares, 18 structures of folk architecture collected in two sectors: Kujawy Region and Dobrzyn Region.

Wooden buildings (mostly carried over from the various villages of Kujawy and Dobrzyn Regions) with interior furnishings, traditional objects and tools bring us closer to everyday life of peasant families from the late 18th century to the 1930s.

Other attractions include meetings held several times during the season, concerning "The life of the old village." The heritage park workshops where rural artisans’ work come alive. There are demonstrations of house and farm chores forgotten today, such as laundry in tubs, butter or porridge production, oil pressing, threshing with flails, forming of peat. One can listen to folk music, see regional dances performed by various folk groups, and above all watch shows that illustrate old customs and rituals. The heritage park is a branch of the Museum of Kujawy and Dobrzyn Regions in Włocławek.
