Furnace in Kuźniaki

In 1782, it was a place of operation of the smallest of the 34 blast furnaces in the Polish lands.

It belonged to Radoński family. In subsequent years, the plant was expanded and changed its owners. In the last years of operation, it was owned by Kaminski-Grosman company; the blast furnace was named "Hedwig". After modernization in 1890s, it worked right up until 1897, when due to the exhaustion of the ore it was closed. In the last period, the main items produced from approximately 1,000 tons of pig iron per year were railings, grids, crosses, plates and pipes. In 1901, the plant was partly demolished. Remains of the blast furnace plant, which are still there today, are listed in the register of monuments. The structure is located in the open.
