It is located on the transverse axis of the city south of the Great Market Square.
It has the shape of a rectangle measuring 50x70 metres. The market had never served as commercial market, it was intended for residential building. Named due to the neighborhood of the flood plain. The arcaded houses, seen in the bukowiński picture and confirmed by the field studies were not preserved. Since the nineteenth century, it has retained its present shape of a rectangle which does not correspond to the old market.
