Czchów - parish church

The Gothic brick parish church with remains of the Roman temple from 12th century. This church was erected in 1346.

Czchów was founded on the basis of Magdeburg law in 14th c. The layout had an oval form with a market square in the middle. The buildings had wooden carcass construction with arcades in the facade. They were covered by roofs with jerkin heads, equipped with eaves. The middle of the market square was occupied by the town hall. The traditional buildings of Czchów have survived only in fragmentary form - they have been best preserved in the partly reconstructed Market Square.
