Kazimierz Landscape Park was established in 1979. The area of the Park and its buffer zone includes 11 municipalitys of the Lubelskie Voivodeship.

Unique natural, cultural and landscape values of Kazimierz, Nałęczowo and Puławy have been known and appreciated for years. Due to the loess susceptibility to erosion, this park is constantly changing. Loess and limestone slopes of the Vistula River valley and the Bystra River valley are covered with xerothermic turf and grasses with a number of rare and protected species.
The Vistula River valley is one of the most important ecological corridors allowing nesting and flights of birds.
Kazimierz Dolny is a unique example of the harmonious cultural landscape, thanks to its unique integration of architecture with lush vegetation of the buffer zone in this historic city.
Historic complex of Kazimierz Dolny was recognized as a historical monument by the ordinance of the President of the Republic of Poland of 8 September 1994.
